Clarence B. "Brad" Purnell, 62, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:45 P.M., Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Brad was a retired trucker having worked the past six and half years at Sisco in Nashville and fifteen years for J.B. Hunt.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin and a US Army veteran.
He was born September 23, 1942 at Du Quoin, the son of Cecil H. and Gledith (Bailey) Purnell.
He married Patricia J. McDonald on August 22, 1964 at Joliet, Ill. and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, two sons- Brad Purnell and Michael Purnell both of Bolingbrook, Ill., brother- Ray Purnell of Belleville, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Steve Bareis officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
